FAQ
FireCore NetOps Assistant FAQ.
Common questions about the product, workflow, subscriptions, and safe use.
What is Config Finder?
Config Finder is a focused evidence-search workspace inside NetOps Assistant. Users can upload or paste sanitized configs, search for IPs, VLANs, interfaces, routes, ACLs, NAT lines, object groups, DHCP helpers, hostnames, parser findings, exact text, regular expressions, and built-in crypto, weak-crypto, HA, and VPN profiles with context lines, then export a concise finder report.
Does the app connect to live network devices?
No. The current model is intentionally offline and evidence-based. Users upload configs or paste command output for analysis.
What should be sanitized first?
Remove passwords, SNMP communities, preshared keys, tokens, customer identifiers, public IPs, and any data that should not be included in a troubleshooting artifact.
Can helpdesk teams use it?
Yes. The guided workflows are designed to help helpdesk and desktop teams understand what to collect next and when to escalate to network engineering.
Does it replace an engineer?
No. It speeds up analysis, documentation, and triage. Engineers should still validate findings against live state and follow change control before production changes.
Where do subscriptions start?
Subscriptions are managed through the app billing page using Stripe Checkout and the Stripe customer portal.
What vendors are supported?
The current parser coverage is strongest for Cisco-style configs and common show-command output. Firewall, VPN, wireless, and topology workspaces also look for broadly recognizable patterns from common network platforms. Vendor-specific coverage will continue expanding from sanitized customer examples.
Is this safe for customer configs?
The app is designed for sanitized evidence and offline analysis. Users should remove secrets and customer-sensitive identifiers before uploading or pasting data, and should review exports before sharing them outside approved teams.
What is the difference between Pro and Team?
Pro includes the core analysis workspaces for individual engineers and consultants. Team includes Pro plus team-only helpdesk triage, Ticket Helper, customer handoff reports, and team workflow support.
Can I cancel during the trial?
Yes. Billing is handled through Stripe. Customers can manage cancellation, invoices, and payment details through the billing portal once a subscription/customer record exists.
Does this work as a local or offline workflow?
The local development instance can run without production auth when local bypass is enabled. The hosted web app is subscription-gated, but the analysis model itself is still based on uploaded files and pasted command output rather than live device connections.
